Resources
Here are some suggestions for emergency resources as well as additional sites to help with your mental health work.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or 988 (suicide & crisis hotline).
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is a free confidential service that provides referrals to local treatment facilities and groups. Their helpline, 1-800-662-4357, is available 24/7.
988 Suicide Crisis and Lifeline is a free lifeline that provides emotional support and resources to people struggling with suicidal thoughts. They're available 24/7 and you can reach them by texting 988 or by calling 1-800-273-8255.
Crisis Text Line is a support line that's free and available 24/7 and will connect you with a crisis counselor to talk through whatever challenging feelings you're working with. This support line is made up of trained volunteers, so they can't offer you medical advice. But they can be there for you in a time of need. Just text HOME to 741741 to be connected.
These are just some of the many resources available. More will be added.
